LISELLE MILAZZO, PHD

In 2022, I earned my PhD in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism (RST) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I'm an active lecturer and am working on several research projects targeting top tier peer-reviewed journals. This fall I am beginning at Penn State Abington as an assistant professor in the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management (RPTM) department. 

My research interests are broadly focused in the areas of tourism and culture, with more specific interests that bring together communication, fanship, and imagination. These include the influence of popular culture on personal and collective tourism experiences.
